Motomate

Built for the workshops that keep India moving, MotoMate is a garage-management platform reimagining how mechanics run their business. Founded on a simple premise — that every garage deserves the tools big service chains take for granted — MotoMate lets mechanics track vehicle service history, automate customer reminders, and grow repeat business, all from one app. The brand commits to evolving alongside the everyday needs of India's independent garages.

Motomate

Scope

MotoMate sought a brand and product identity that positioned them as the trusted, India-first operating system for independent garages and vehicle consultants. The goal was a visual identity and web experience that felt both "Capable" and "Approachable" - signalling the reliability of serious business software while staying simple enough for a busy mechanic to adopt in a two-minute setup. The identity needed to carry MotoMate's core belief that running a garage should be effortless: track every vehicle, never miss a service, and grow through smart follow-ups rather than guesswork.

The Challenge

For most garages, the admin side of the business runs on notebooks and memory. Service histories live in a mechanic's head, customers forget when their next service is due, and repeat business slips away quietly - not because the work was bad, but because nobody followed up.

MotoMate needed an app that these mechanics would actually use. That meant it had to be simple - built for busy hands in a workshop, not for someone sitting at a desk. It also had to solve the follow-up problem automatically, because no garage owner has time to manually message every customer whose service is due.

Our Approach & Solutions

We built the complete MotoMate mechanic app, designed around how it would be used day to day in a workshop

1. Mechanic app

A clean Android app where a mechanic can add a customer and their vehicle in a few taps, then record every service, part replacement, and repair as it happens. Setup takes minutes, not training sessions.

2. Vehicle tracking

Every car and bike gets a complete digital history - services done, parts replaced, and maintenance schedules - so the mechanic always knows exactly what a vehicle needs, even months later.

3. Service scheduling

Built-in appointment booking and calendar management help workshops plan their day, reduce customer wait times, and stop double-bookings.

4. Auto reminders

Automatic SMS and notifications reach customers when their service is due - no manual follow-up needed. The garage stays top of mind, and customers come back on time.

5. Customer management

Detailed customer profiles with vehicle details, service preferences, and visit history let even a small garage deliver the kind of personal service that big service centres can't match.

6. Marketing

We supported MotoMate's launch with marketing to bring the app to the mechanics it was built for, positioning it clearly in a market where most tools are made for large service chains, not independent workshops. We're also building a companion app for vehicle owners, launching soon!

7. Multi-language support

The app is available in multiple languages, so mechanics can work in the language they use every day.

8. Invoice generation

Bills are generated within the app and shared with the customer directly, replacing the separate bill book.

9. Diagnostic support

Odometer-based service tracking and online diagnostic support give the mechanic a reference point when assessing what a vehicle needs.

10. Ongoing development

The app is maintained and updated on an ongoing basis, with new features added as workshops use it.

The Result

MotoMate is live on Android, and mechanics can install the app and start managing service records and automated customer follow-ups the same day. Workshops using it get a complete digital record of every vehicle they service, a calendar that runs their day, and reminders that quietly bring customers back - turning one-time repairs into long-term relationships. What used to live in notebooks now lives in one app, backed up and accessible from anywhere.

Conclusion

MotoMate is another example of what we love building - technology for people who've never had technology built for them. India's independent mechanics didn't need another complicated software suite; they needed one honest app that handles the business side so they can focus on the vehicles. We're proud to have built it, and prouder that it's the kind of tool a garage owner can pick up and use on day one.
